This course is designed for anyone with a passion and drive to learn more about the fundamentals of nail care, and start a career in the nail care industry using Bio Sculpture Gel products.

Below is a summary of what you will need to successfully complete your Bio Beginners Course in Manicure Procedures.

  • The course will be delivered in a series of chapters which will cover the above topics, and will include supporting educational materials such as text, video and examination formats. Read through all 5 Chapters, complete and submit your assignment prior to attending your training session.
  • Visit as many different salons as you can and book in for at least 5 x services
  • Book into the next Manicure Procedures Training day for your training session with our educator.
  • Keep a log of every Manicure you do, including polish applications, nail shaping and massage. Record these in your Treatment Log Book.

Additional evidence in the form of photos or videos can be submitted, these resources are very helpful, particularly when a student is unable to attend the Manicure Procedures Training day. These forms of evidence are very valuable tools when deeming a student competent in Manicures and we highly encourage our students to submit additional evidence.

Bio Beginner Manicure Course overview

Aim:

To provide students with extensive knowledge in both the theory and practical application of Manicures. To be completed within 1-month. Once successfully completed, students will then be eligible to begin the Bio Sculpture Gel or EVO2 Gel Polish Training Courses.

Theory:

Complete and submit your assignment covering the following topics. Needs to be handed in prior to initial training session. Can be done via correspondence:

  1. Anatomy and Physiology of the Skin & Hand
  2. Disorders and Diseases of the Skin & Hand
  3. Implements and Materials
  4. Business Information, Salon Ethics and Hygiene Procedures
  5. Manicures Procedures

Practical Assessment

  1. Training & Assessment – 4-hour initial supervised hands-on training session with an educator plus an assessment demonstrating a complete manicure. Model required.
  2. Salon experience – visit 5 different salons and experience 5 services to gain knowledge, confidence and an overall insight into a Salon’s day-to-day operations.
  3. Log Book – Keep a record of hands-on practice in manicure applications. Must include photo or video evidence
